Welcome to "findingfunnies.com", the Custom Google Search Engine created to help you find the joke you need for every occasion.

About FireFox

For those that don't know, (and, considering about 80% of internet users don't use it), FireFox is a we browser with a whole host of cool features. Here are just SOME of my favourite features:

  • You can browse the internet using tabs.To see why these are a NECESSITY, go look at this web page: Browsing with tabs quickly in FireFox
  • You can install Extensions, which are little custom additions to the browser which can add extra features, like being able to go back and forward in your history using your mouse
  • You can change the way the browser looks, so that it looks more appealing than a standard program

Search Engines in FireFox

Another of those features is the little search box at the top right hand side of the browser. You can use this little box to search the various Search Engines, such as Google, Windows Live, Yahoo! and ASK, without having to go to that site first. All you have to do is type in your search query, and it will take you to the site and do the search automatically. To choose which site you'd like to use for your query, you can just click the button/log/down arrow on the left of the box and select a different search engine.
Take a look at the picture below to see the box I am talking about. (Clicking the image will open a larger version in a new window).
Adding a Search Engine to the FireFox Search Box

I've created a little addition to this Search Box so that you can add this Site's Search Engine to the box. Then, every time you need to find a joke, you can just use this search box to find a joke... So, how do you go about using this fancy little feature? Here's a step by step process. Be careful though, this might take longer than 60 seconds, if you aren't using FireFox already...

  1. 1 - Download and install FireFox.
  2. 2 - Come back to this page, and click the link below to install the "Search Engine": Install FindingFunnies.com Search Engine"

There we go. Easy, wasn't it.
